One of the many tunnels of Rootmaze opens into a massive hollow; it is supported overhead by the thick network of roots and lit by bioluminescent fungi and bugs. The hollow seems to have been carved out over hundreds of years by a small underground stream running through the hard-packed soil beneath the tree. The area is several degrees cooler than above ground, making it a sanctuary from the tropical heat for the numerous fluffy tundras in the clan.
