The moon's light filters dimly through the pines surrounding the clearing. The forever-night that engulfs the Tangled Wood casts tall shadows across the land, and surroundings are obscured by the reigning darkness.
But there is light. It emanates from the large cave openings and hollowed-out trees, in small half-circles and rings around the clearing. The light is a soft gold, creating warm shafts through the floating mist.
Dragons dance and play in the darkness, the soft light illuminating their dark scales and grinning faces.
