the lightfall clan makes it's home in the hewn city in a mostly underground lair. it was rumored that nobody had ever returned from what is now their lair, and it was common to hear dragons say that even when the light fell down there, it never returned. as curious as ever, a clumsy fae went to see, and promptly tripped and fell. when he awoke after his fall, he realized that he was in a partially built catacombs that had never been finished or used. soon afterwards, he found a mate, and his clan began to grow. he named his clan the lightfall clan in memory of the reason he came and changed his life.
the lightfall clan is a haven for dragons who need a place to call home. dragons of all kinds are welcome, and many choose not to share their background for various reasons. the lightfall clan is a clan of new beginnings, hope, and acceptance.
the clan worships lightweaver as a whole, but individual dragons may choose to worship other gods as well or only worship their own deities (or none at all). while any dragon is welcome, parentless dragons are most common and the clan has come to introduce themselves as a generation one clan.
warning:
"to whoever may be reading this,
i never thought i'd see the day that the lightfall clan was separated, but just recently screech announced that she would no longer provide for a clan that favors heritageless dragons. nobody understood, but the fact stands: the clan has been split into factions. right now, there are two: the heritageless dragons, who call themselves the originals; and the dragons with heritage, who call themselves the historians. i am trying to remain neutral, but it's hard. by way of heritage, i am an original, and i miss the way things used to be. but i am a scribe, and it is my duty to be unbiased. i must warn you, though: you're in danger if you come here. tensions are running high, and i sense the formation of new factions arriving soon. i hope nothing too bad comes of this, but right now, screech is holding a lot of the clan's resource production hostage, and the originals want to expel all of the historians. to whoever may be reading: may the lightweaver light your path." - vivian, lightfall clan scribe

It's okay about the name; I read it as him passing from one mentor to another in his goal to branch out and improve his skills across multiple areas. Found it fitting with him having passed through a few clans now :D
