Welcome to the Vermilion City

You walk up a winding dark path, your heart racing as you hear footsteps behind you. Impossible, you think to yourself. Out of nowhere, the forest ends and you are gazing at a gate made completely of black crystal. You have traveled this path many a time in the day and never seen such a thing. From where you stand you can hear what sounds like voices, wares being sold and courting words being exchanged.

And then your eye catches on a large shape atop the gate. Its eyes watch you, its wings spreading out in a menacing stretch, as if to scare you off. But you are too intrigued, you have not seen other dragons in such a long time and you are sure this is the Arcanist's doing.

"Who goes there?" A firm voice drifts towards you from the figure, who has now shifted their position.

You cannot think of anything to say, and as you stand trembling, the dragon seems to take pity on you. Gliding to the ground before you, the large blue Guardian fixes you with a stare none too threatening. "Ah, you're not from a rival clan are you?"

She looks you over with amusement now. Your eyes are drawn to where the moonlight catches on her golden collar and glances onto the deep scars that litter her hide.

"Come with me, I'm sure the King and Queen would love to meet you"
