You are wandering through the Tangled Wood. The trees are tall, looming over the path you're following in an almost menacing way. Deep shadows pool in their hollows. The buzz of insects and movements of small creatures blanket the air, but they don't sound the way they should. You don't know where you're going. You don't know how you got here. You don't know where this path leads, but you follow it anyway, reluctant to stop or turn around. You are wandering. The woods get deeper. The trees grow taller and more menacing, the shadows grow darker still. The hum of forest life stops. You stop.
You don't want to go forward.
A feeling of dread washes over you. It presses you down. It feels like a physical force, holding you in place and you know that you don't want to turn around.

"Hello there!"

You nearly jump out of your skin as a friendly voice reaches you. Seconds later you see the light of a lantern bobbing towards you. The unnatural dread is gone.
A mirror dragon so dark she's almost impossible to see stands before you. She smiles.
"It's not safe to be wandering around this place at night, you know. Or during the day. It's not safe to be wandering at all. Why don't you come with me?"
She offers you the lantern and you take it graciously, unsure of what to say. She turns and walks back into the trees, clearly expecting you to follow. You take a step in her direction and realize you've lost sight of her in the dim lighting. You hear a chuckle, and suddenly the forest in front of you flares to life in a brilliant burst of light. The mirror dragon is glittering, specks of glowing warmth dusted over her body and drifting through the air around her. She turns again, and this time she is easy to follow.
