the dead.

Originally birthed in Arcane territory, this clan bears a tumultuous history. Formerly a benign, quiet group, the clan saw the ousting of Leader Amethytic via the former, outcast alchemist. This split the group into those she accepted and those she outcast. However, the outcasts pushed for terms to settle their differences. Eventually, the terms were accepted, and the clan was unified.

It was not long after that disaster struck.

The lair, which was primarily a network of caves, collapsed unexpectedly. No lives were claimed, but everything else was.

Other small disasters wracked the irradiated landscape, and the clan grew into a conglomeration of forced nomads.

A pair of Water seers looked upon the broken clan and announced that they were returning to their homeland, and that it was not safe here. If they were wise, they should follow.

They did.

the civilians.
Offered protection by the warriors, these are the commoners of the clan. Their purpose is to produce food and treasure, as well as to ensure the maintenance of the lair. The civilians are the most numerous section of the clan.

the floating market.
The Floating Market is a small cluster of anchored ships, home to shops that boast rare and exotic goods. Many of these goods are made utilizing materials collected by the civilians, and the purpose of the Market is to produce treasure.
_
the scholars.
The leadership of the clan values science greatly, and so those who devote themselves to studying the sciences are granted an elite status--free of the requirement of combat. Though they are below the warriors, this is debatably the best rank in the clan.

the warriors.
Those with professions regarding combat or war are the elites of the clan. Headed by Baklajan, their purpose is to protect the lair and its occupants. Strategists and medics also gain this rank.

There are those who do not fit precisely within these four denominations, while still aligning themselves with and residing inside the Oceanarium.
the council of 10.
The Council's members serve as Baklajan's advisors, offering opinions on any moves she plans to make. Each representing their own respective flight, they also work as ambassadors to foreign clans. Their work load is rewarded with an elite status.

the followers.
In order to keep the Oceanarium's residents content, Baklajan begrudgingly accepts a group of religious and spiritual dragons into their midst. They provide their services without pay and have a status similar to a civilian, but may experience some prejudice from the leaders.
_
the hostel.
A pleasant (if a bit... eccentric) bogsneak by the name of Bernadetta owns a small hostel dubbed "The Dancing Flame." Visitors of the Oceanarium dwell here at a fairly modest price. However, it is best to be locked away in one's room by midnight.

the dive team.
The Oceanarium supports a small team of divers, headed by the former water ambassador, whose goal is to locate any sign of the missing Tidelord. They also collect relics as they search, selling them to collectors to pay for their residence within the clan.
_
the sharks.
Native dragons of water alignment may decide to live outside of the Oceanarium, and may belong to a variety of professions, from defense to construction. They are highly important and therefore highly valued citizens.

^ ^ I do hope Mndaurcyl has been having a great time there, regardless what flight he is in now, his father Abaddon is still proud of his son. Hellion still misses him like usual.
