Mystia's Clan

Your stroll through the peaks of the mountain are interrupted by a smooth but distant melody coming not too far from your location. Following the song leads you deeper into the mountains, off the worn trail you had previously been following. The song increases in volume during your pursuit as you take note of the increasing number of onyx geodes jutting up from the ground. You stop to look at the mouth of the cave in front of you, sharp and jagged onyx line the mouth of the cave like the teeth of a purple Ridgeback, glinting intimidatingly at you.

This cave definitely contained the source of the song.

Tentatively, you enter the cave, only to be met by the face of an extravagant Pearlcatcher. His cream-colored body glints lightly, expanding and contracting under navy blue ribbons wrapped around his broad chest as his warm breath hits your face. His navy blue wings stretch out behind him and you watch his eyes made of orange sunset look you up and down, examining you for any sign of threat. You stand there motionless for what feels like an eternity and a half, afraid that any twitch of your muscles might alert the Pearlcatcher to attack. You hadn't even noticed the sweet melody from deep inside the cave had stopped until you hear the singer call out for someone, probably the Pearlcatcher you were having such a great conversation with. Finally the Pearlcatcher turns away from you to head back into the depths of the cave, leaving you to you and your thoughts. You contemplate following the burly dragon when he looks back at you, flipping his head to beckon you to follow. Again, cautiously, you head into the cave with the Pearlcatcher, the singer continuing her song.

The further from the mouth you went, the brighter the back of the cave became, lit with more of the onyx geodes that were seen at the mouth. The rocks glow faintly, filling the cave with a soothing shade of purple. You walk along side the Pearlcatcher, who continues to pay no mind to your presence, for another eternity, the cave getting increasingly more purple and the song getting increasingly louder. You notice the path you had been walking along stopped completely, and you look out onto the enormous opening in front of you.

Stairs lead down the side of the opening, down to the floor of the 30 meter tall opening. The whole cave was covered in different colored gems that glowed brightly. Various dragons filled the opening, from an elegant blue Imperial snaking it's way through the air around you to a chocolate brown Tundra who slept comfortably on the ground. In the center of it all, the singer sat cross legged in front of a golden fire, surrounded by young dragons, all of different species. She continues to sing as the Pearlcatcher lifts off into the air, landing next to his master, dwarfing her in size. The song is light and bubbly, similar to songs sung during festivals and celebrations. The only difference is that it's sung in a language that you don't understand, but seems so familiar at the same time.

Her eyes are closed, and the glow of the fire make the dark chalk markings running up and down her entire body seem brighter against her fair skin. Her outfit is loose over her torso, with sky blue silk sleeves that drift from her shoulders past her arms and onto the ground. All of the dragons in the room have been alerted to your presence, even though you haven't even said a word since you've entered. They all stare at you while the singer suddenly stops. She finally opens her eyes to look up at you from under her long russet colored hair, and although she's so distant from your position, you can't help but give a small gasp at her bright amethyst eyes and how they glitter like the gems around her. Time seemingly had stopped, and all eyes, both dragon and human, lingered on you and only you. Her thin lips part to breath out a single word.
