The Clan of the Atrum Hollow
The Atrum Hollow resides in a clearing in the south of the Tangled Wood, not far from the coast. The Hollow is a gigantic tree, whose roots spread out underground for miles, and whose branches reach out high and wide. The tree's most notable quality, aside from its size, is that although the entire trunk and many of the bigger branches have been hollowed out for the dragons to live in, the tree does not die. The tree itself is imbued with magic and is a source of much debate and research within the clan.
The Clan of the Atrum Hollow are a clan of mages, scientists, explorers and teachers. While most are highly devout and loyal followers of the Shadowbinder, they are dragons who pursue knowledge as the highest form of power. Anyone who is willing to learn is welcome here, be they students or masters of their chosen topic. Members of the clan are allowed to research and practice whatever magic they will, even those magics deemed taboo or forbidden by other clans. They also are allowed to find their research in any way they deem necessary, as long as it does not endanger the clan at large or the shadow flight. Do not underestimate them, although there are less warriors in this clan than normal, they are not helpless, and will not hesitate to dispel threats to themselves. Likewise, do not assume all here are evil and without morals, that is not true. This is a close-knit and loyal community, the members help each other in their pursuit of knowledge and power (most of the time), and work together to protect themselves.
