Yeah, Serenity is actually Sol's mother! So Solus must be a son of one of Serenity's other children, making Solus Sol's nephew! :D
With al that shade she throws around I wouldn't have thought of her as anything else but a shadow dragon until you brought it up XD but thank you, I thought long and hard -a solid 30 seconds- for some very appropriate titles ;)
