Located at the furthest reaches of the Cairnstone Rest, is the Throne of Thieves. Made of obsidian and only inherited by stealing it from the predecessor before. Here, anyone is welcome. As long as you've got the coin.
Hal. the sixth king to sit atop the throne, has ruled nearly with nearly ten years of prosperity and plunder. But lately, he is further and further away from home. There are no children, many send their young to allied clans with heavy dowries and heavier hearts. Nests go barren and cold. Unhatched eggs are more highly prized than water or gold, and there are whispers of a something screaming down in the depths of the catacombs. Many say they see Pria, the ghost of Hal's wife, roaming the halls. Others speak of a scent, heavily perfumed and sickly sweet, pervading the air no matter where they are.
Alliances are forming. The Throne is cracked. Neighboring clans are constantly at the door with claims of stolen eggs and children. And while the Hollow has always been a refuge for outcasts and eccentrics, off-brand deity worshippers and the odd-ball scholar, there are rumors that could even make the shade rethink nesting here...
...rumors of necromancy.

The Hollow Kingdom has existed for six generations, spanning almost 260 years after the Pillar shattered. Originally formed as a small outpost for travelers at the northernmost portion of the Cairnstone Rest, it gradually grew to house a number of shrines for many minor deities and their exiled worshippers. As time went on and the eleven flight deities rose to power, more and more gathered to it's remote point to worship and exist in peace, their minor gods receding but not forgotten.
Left to fend for themselves so far from other dragon-kind, mercenary and trade services grew under the first Thief King. Utilizing their expansive knowledge of the catacomb system beneath the Rest allowed for intercepting bandits and traveling merchants unawares, and made for for quick travel between outposts to prevent ambushes and sieges. This system has been the lifeblood of the Hollow, and the knowledge of its winding mazes has been passed down only through word of mouth, marriage and royalty.
Aside from plunder, mercenaries for hire and fast travel, the Hollow boasts a small but thriving crafts trade, consisting of everything from wine, brew, native medicines and herbs, and even its own jewelry, made from a mixture of gems and minerals both mined and stolen.
In the past, allegiance has been difficult to procure with this hidden and remote clan, reserved only for those clever enough to outsmart the traps and trickery of clansmen and women past, new blood often being 'married' in after a new clans leader has procured the Throne of Thieves for themselves. A respect for those of all origin and worship is a must, as any fanatic for their home flight has long been driven away after scorning the minor deities that rest here.
