A small, lone shadow scrambled through the bloodstained land towards the town square. As the creature wandered into the clearing, the coppery smell of blood was undoubtedly distinguished as it permeated off the ground and into the air; the smell so overpowering that it was almost nauseating. Bodies of dragons scattered so far the eye could see; corpses were thrown haphazardly as if without a care of where they would end up. Just this morning, the clangrounds were bustling with life. Hatchling’s laughter could be heard while their parents were ensnared in conversation. Now, however, no sound except the crackling of fire from buildings engulfed in flame could be heard. Drowned in despair, the creature begged anyone… anything to save him from this agony. Suddenly, A ray of overwhelming power descends on the creature. As if blessed by the Plaguebringer, the creature, an Aether to be exact, acquired the core of the Plague and the name, Cerise. The Aether was left in disbelief. How had he earned the attention of a god? What’s his purpose in all this? What is he supposed to do? After all, Cores of an element were extremely rare. They were the symbol of the gods; they contain the power of the respective gods they represent. A dreary voice rang in his head. It told him to survive; survive no matter the cost. Cerise was bewildered, but he knew one thing. He can’t stay here. It’s far too dangerous. Who knows if the perpetrators were still lurking around searching for survivors? The Aether spread his wings and flew towards the lands outside the village. Maybe the world outside the clan will answer his questions.

While exploring, Cerise discovered the crumbling remnants of a ruin. The ruins looks almost identical to the terrain of the Luminox clan and so the Aether eagerly bounded forward towards a brand new start.

As the Aether stumbled into the crumbling ruins, he unknowingly unearthed a chamber engulfed in darkness only illuminated by floating, glowing crystals. The beautiful gems all varied in size and gave off an unnatural yellow. All of this pale in comparison to the massive crystal floating in the center of the alcove, however. Through it, a gentle voice echoed out. The voice introduced itself as Eclipse, a god imprisoned in the mass of crystals by its fellow gods. Desperate for freedom, it gifted Cerise knowledge and strength to lead and a promise of aid to the clan in exchange for it to be freed. Finally escaping her crystal prison, Eclipse thanked the Aether and left behind a figment of herself. It told Cerise that the crystal, now named the Bestower, will help aid him in his endeavor. It told him that it would gift blessings called LORE upon any residents in the Clan.

As the ruins became more and more habitable, a system was established with wandering merchants and many other dragons. It was then dubbed as the Labyrinth. Some dragons decide to stay while some to continue on with their own lives. Those who stay will meet with the Bestower and gain LORE, which will decide their role and purpose in the clan.

Decades later, the once crumbling ruin flourished into a magnificent court. After all, the Labyrinth accepts dragons of all races, regardless of their background. As long as they lend a claw when needed, they are free to reside in the court.
