Clan Info

The Boneyard Commons, or just the Boneyard, is the clan's common area on the plagues, fenced off with large bones scavanged from abandoned hunts around the territory and the remains of the clans own meals. It spans most of the cliffside directly next to the blight sanctum, and even changes pathing to curve into the clans space to avoid enclosing on the sanctums own land. The taller, more curved bones, are adorned with chimes made of the remains of smaller beasts and other dragons, ribbons, rocks, and have several names of long term members and the initials of fleeting love carved into the dried bone. The most recent addition being a female mirror's skull on one of the taller rib bones closing off the Boneyard.

The Pits are a series of mostly disconnected burrows that most of the clan retreats to after curfew.
They consist of a central cavern large enough to comfortably home it's respective dragon and whatever possessions they wish to keep in their space. Sometimes mates gut one partner's cavern to make room, but more often than not they will gut a new pit entirely. If the mates ever disband, these larger caverns are sometimes taken up by larger dragons.
However the clan's housing is not exclusive to the pits; the Primordial Queen and King nest in a cavern carved out of one of the Cliffside teeth. Naturally, the clan heiress and her mate have their own cavern at the base of the same tooth.
The clan's Dig and Fishing leaders both seek refuge inside the Cliffside itself, in a dragon made cove Mudsplash constructed. They're one of the most isolated from the rest of the clan, being fundamentally unfit to rest in the acidic pools like plagueborn Undertides.
The only dragon more distant than the pair is Bloodwing. Being the clan's tradesman, and unofficial ambassador on a good day, he's grown to find more comfort on his ship than anywhere else, and often doesn't leave the clan ports at all.

Nestled in a well hidden copse of diseased pines, Staccato cares for and raises the clan's young above the pits and caverns that the majority of it's residents reside in. While the evergrowing trees look over the surrounding territories, Meat and Bone help Staccato look after the safety of the hatchlings in his advanced age and expanding clan population. Bone patrols the edge of the copse during the daylight, ensuring no hatchling explores too far into the thick woodland to be consumed by the predatory flora. Similarly, Meat takes over nightly patrols, making sure no hungry fauna looking for an easy meal comes too close to the hatchlings.
However, aside from the bare minimum protections, insistently rebellious hatchlings are allowed the freedom from the copse they so crave. It's rare for them to return, much less unscathed.
During the early mornings, when the meat is settled and nightly predators scatter for safety of the much larger daytime threats, Staccato takes the little ones for short hunts and scavanges across the nearby terrain. He teaches them of the equally dangerous plant life, as well as telling stories of the Plaguebringer, the flight's history with its Nature counterpart, and gives comparatively brief explanations of the neighboring territories' flights.
