Situated on the eastern cliffs of the Shifting Expanse, Clan Hollowcliff lives peacefully under the supervision of its eleven sages. Each sage speaks for one of the eleven, and dragons of all flights are welcomed, so long as they are willing to abide by the elected laws.

The clan lives in tunnels carved from the cliff face, creating a honey-comb like warren of passages and caverns. This subterranean village has shops in individual, a marketplace and town meeting pavilion in the largest cavern, and many neighborhoods of individual and family homes. Dragons are welcome to expand their dwellings if they are willing to carve out the space or able to hire someone to do it for them.

Hollowcliff was formerly located on the western cliffs of the expanse, before a cliff-side collapse forced them to relocate. They are now located between the Sandswept Delta and the Tempest Spire, on the coast of Sornieth's unnamed ocean. A small port carved into a seaside cave allows for oceanic trade and fishing, and many of the fisherman and sailors live in homes carved along the portside rather than in the town proper.
