I'm LateOwl, a DM with a love for writing. I love creating new universes and stories, and I am here to write lore for a bunch of fun and goofy dragons. Be it serious lore or not serious lore, I'm all for it. If you choose to read through my way-too-long lore bios, I hope you enjoy them!

LORE

In the center of an ever-raging blizzard sits an eye. And in the midst of this eye sits a plain; The Iceplain. A place where dragons live, secluded from society, solely because they have no other choice. Not many souls quite know how they arrived here, but upon a voyage, Lady Sanguis fell ill and released every ounce of her magic, creating a blizzard larger than anyone on the journey had ever seen. After recovering from her magical outburst, Lady Sanguis took things into her own hands.
In order to take charge and responsibility for trapping herself here, she decided to lead her newfound clan. She is currently attempting to find a way to dissipate the blizzard, and the strongest of soldiers have decided to create a party that will soon venture out into the blizzard to attempt to create a path or tunnel out. However, Neige claims that from the tallest point on the Icecrawl, she can see over the eye, and says that the clouds stretch on for as long as the eye can see.

THE ICEPLAIN

Inside the Iceplain are three different areas: The Expanse, where the Shueae live in large, militaristic castles and bases. They are often resembled by flowers, demonstrating perfection. The Cavern, where the Kahifs reside, either tucked away in small caves or in tiny huts alongside the Glowing River, the only source of light in this dark place. They are often resembled by glowing mushrooms, as they worship a mushroom known as The Stalk. And finally, the Icecrawl, a large and treacherous mountain home to only one dragon, Neige.
Inside the center of it all is a commonplace, or the market, known as The Rise. All dragons can come here to congregate, sell goods, or, if they choose, to build a house, as this area itself is the direct center of the eye, and is therefore the calmest. Many dragons have become content with their lives in the storm, and have made no effort to escape.
