Welcome to Whimsy! But beware traveler, of the Wildlands that lie to the West, for they are home to the Fey, and magic runs thick there...
Most of my dragons are actually some sort of Fey or Fey-adjacent creatures not placed in the world of Sornieth, however there are a few exceptions. (Using 'Fey' spelling as to avoid confusion with the Fae breed!)
Lore
(I found I wasn't creatively fulfilled when I tried to stick to site lore, so now almost all my dragons are actually Fey and other magical creatures not placed in the world of Sornieth, with a few exceptions. This is solely for lore purposes, and I gladly refer to my dragons as dragons for sharing, discussion, and art, as they still mostly look the same as they do in-game :)
The mortal town of Whimsy lies near the border of the untamed Wildlands, the source of all magic and home to all those created by that magic. While the Feyfolk tend to stay within the Wildlands to access the magic, interaction between mortals and the magical is inevitable due to the close proximity. Curious mortals are strongly advised to avoid journeying into the Wildlands, as many Feyfolk do not harbor the friendliest of intentions. This is not to say that most are willfully evil, but they do not view the world as mortals do, and often are as unpredictable as the forces of nature themselves...
The Fey that inhabit the Wildlands are created when a pocket of magic condenses tightly together, becoming permanently bound into a sentient creature. Usually the magic gathers around something else and binds to it, like animals or objects, or sometimes even a mortal; but sometimes, it just condenses in on itself. The Fey formed from this pure magic are the most powerful of their folk, and the most unpredictable. Fey created from something else tend to keep aspects of what they came from, and this can also shape their personality to differing degrees.
Every Fey (and many other magic-bound creatures) become stronger during certain seasons and times of the year depending on when they were created. This affinity can vary greatly in strength, and length of time. For some, the affinity lasts only a short time out of a season, but others find themselves strengthened for an entire season, or even for two consecutive seasons, though this is incredibly rare.
The reigning monarch of the Feyfolk, a pure magic Fey who goes by the title of The Motley Fairy Queen, rules through brute force of her magic. She works only for her own pleasure, at the expense of everyone and everything within her reach. It's rumored that many grow impatient and perhaps even rebellious under her rule...
Besides the Feyfolk, there are many others who inhabit the Wildlands. Goblins, Elves, and Dryads are all magic-reliant creatures who call the Wildlands home, but where they come from and how they interact within their world and its magic is even more a mystery to the mortal realm than that of the Feyfolk. In particular, it seems the Goblins are affected little by the Feyfolk and their magic, having their own Goblin figureheads and ringleaders to follow despite the elite Feyfolk's love for power and control. It seems that somehow, even though they all inhabit the same lands and probably run across each other frequently, the Goblins don't inhabit the same magical niche of the Wildlands ecosystem, and have no need to compete with the Fey. Elves however, do not find themselves so lucky, but to what extent they interact with the Fey remains unclear. Even less is known about the silent Dryads. Perhaps with time, more will be discovered about these mysterious beings.
(Most of my written lore is just little snippets of personality and background of the Fey who live in the Wildlands, especially near the border so that I can describe how they treat any mortals they run across. I probably will not do an overarching story any time soon, it's mostly just fun for me to hint at one for worldbuilding and make up the characters at this point, but we'll see where this goes! ^^)

so true, what's funny for me is **** used to be one of my favourites and Damian was one of my least favourites, but somehow they've completely switched places now?? (I still like **** but not as much as the others. I like Damian so much I'd honestly move him up a rank on that tierlist if I made it again!)
and fair about Bruce, I put him higher up because I really enjoy writing him (in all of my unfinished unpublished fics haha), but his personality definitely is highly variable depending on the fic (or comic)!
and if he's your favourite that's so real, he has been my second favourite since day one dfkjgfdkjhgd
SAME. I actually got into the fandom through fanfics on ao3, and since I read 99% gen stuff and a lot of crack, WFA is like. very nearly perfectly the exact same stuff that I'd read in a fanfic. except it's canon. I adore it so much (and it fleshes out the characters so well ahh...)
I just looked at your rogues dragons, I love them!! and you used WFA panels too omg, that is literally my favourite webcomic in the world
