All dragons live on the continent of Omira, led by the royal lineage of Pearlcatchers, who rule by the magic held within their pearls as well as through support of the Ancients, who are said to have blessed the royal family with their pearls, but these rumors cannot be confirmed, as only the prophet is allowed to speak with the Ancients.

Beneath the Pearlcatchers, there are three hiearchies. The Powers, the highest ranking, who are stronger and smarter than the others, most often leading and controlling their communities.

The middle ranking is the Educated, those who can afford to be sent to gain an education and move on to make their own living. Often becoming craftsmen or even Palace Servants.

The lowest ranking is the Labors, those who cannot afford to educate themselves but instead make livings off of what they can. Often get jobs in the labor force, or must subject themself to stealing to stay fed. Are beginning to become angry at the Ancients' continuous discaring towards the general population, especially the poor.
