The Death of the Modern Age

The Modern era was coming to a drastic close. The Shade had returned in its entirety and continued its quest to consume the lands, engulfing everything in its thick, dark fog. Clans everywhere fell, completely overwhelmed by its sheer mass. This time it was much, much worse. Everything was decaying at a much faster rate. The Deities were soon drawn out of their own residing Domains, prepared to fight to protect Sorneith. Very few clans were left after the madness; the surviving clans returned to their deities for hope. Soon each of the 11 Deities rallied their dragons and element sources, moving to the centre of the land where they could best defend. They planned to remove the Shade once and for all. The battle between the clans, Deities and the shade lasted for days, working together was definitely making a dent in the Shade, but wasn't efficient enough and was destroying the land in the process. There was one chance left.

The Deities had a plan, but the Lightweaver by herself wasn't strong enough to carry it out. The Gods piled their elemental sources onto the old broken pillar and channelled all their energy left into it. A large beam of pure burning light flashed throughout the lands as the Lightweaver herself consumed the essence and vaporised the Shade. It was over.

The land had been ridden of the Shade, but this wasn't without a price. The Deities were nowhere in sight and had vanished without a trace. The pillar they had created shattered and magic spilled everywhere, soaking up Sorneith. Trees grew taller, the sun shone brighter, the shadows were darker, fire burnt faster, everything was pure and rich with magic. The Clans, Deities and Main Magic sources had all fallen, it was a New Era. The Domain Era.

After the Shade was vanquished Villages formed. Villages turned to Towns and Towns turned to Entire Cities. The dragons of the land had begun to question their meaning without their Deities to serve. Gaolers descended into madness, desperate to fit in and have purpose; without the Icewarden they were helpless. Some took advantage of this. Great tyrants formed Kingdoms and Armies, waging war on each other. Two of the most powerful Kingdoms had entered a new age; one of death.

About Me

Thanks to the amazing @BashfulWolf who started from scratch with me and helped build this up! Our lore, dragons and overall Flight Rising AU was created together and is spread out between the two of us, please check her profile and gorgeous dragons out!

I'm Antharca. Relatively new to this site but I've already managed to find my way around thanks to BashfulWolf mentioned a few lines up. I'm a sucker for Imperials, Pearlcatchers and Male Tundras. (please keep me off the auction house im broke)

My current objective on this site is finishing up my dragon bios, apparel and genes. I've completed my lair and I am very happy with the outcome (You'll notice it's identical to Bash's) I'm not very interested in things like subspecies but I would like to start a hatchery sometime in the future.

Now for a couple things about me in general. I'm an artist who loves gaming, dragons and writing; so I guess you could say this site is perfect for me. I'm a cat/dog person and I go by the pronouns She/Her.
