I don't understand any of the lore and I'm completely lost on the over-arching goal that motivates everyone else to play, but I'm happy to be here. I didn't understand what I was doing on Neopets for 15+ years either, but this fills the void for collecting "pets" with the added benefit of better artwork and the ability to make them reproduce with each other.
I own a cat, snake, and aquatic snails irl and I could not make them reproduce with each other even if I wanted to.
