The Scarred Wastelands was a savage place. Dragons fighting themselves and the world. There were droughts, famine, disease, and torrent weather. The world seemed dark and unwelcoming. Females feared for their young, passing them to any who wondered close enough to the borders in hopes of giving them a better life. Males lost hope, unable to to protect themselves or their loved ones from the death that plagued the lands. Dragons turned on dragons, survival meaning the death of another.

Until one day, a Guardian was born with something the world around him seemed to lack: hope. Against all odds, he survived. Befriending a young Mirror named Seraphina, who wished to make a difference. Together, they stumbled through the war ravaged country, seeing nothing but fear. It ruled over the land with an iron fist, clinging to even the youngest of dragons. Greif struck the pair, unable to watch any longer as their world crumbled. Working together, they did what no one else seemed to be capable of: extend a helping hand.

Where ever Calimar went, sparks of hope seemed to blossom into flames. Word began to spread about the dragons who opened their wings to any in need. He began to gain a following, dragons who wished for a better world. A world where they did not fear for their children's lives and were peace was the focus of society.

Banding together, they swept through the lands like rain in a dessert. Slowly, the Scarred Wastelands began to heal. Animals began to return, the heavens opening to break the drought, plants blossoming with fruits. Dragons began to trust again, young being brought into the world without fear. Calimar and Seraphina looked upon their homeland with a sense of pride, finally settling with their friends in a clan of their own. Waiting for a time when the world would need them once more.
