Theoddhawk's Clan

ResistingEyes was a but a hatchling when she was separated from her family. She was lured from her hanging tree-hut by a Tengu, who was offering to show her to a patch of rare mushrooms. Happy to please her family, she followed the Tengu. After following the Tengu for hours through the Tangled Wood, the Tengu vanished, and she was lost.
The place that ResistingEyes had wandered to was dreary and damp, covered in leaf litter, and a river delta flowed lazily not to far away. As ResistingEyes navigated this new world, she felt horribly afraid, but was thankful for the abundance of food. And where food was, wildlife would be. So ResistingEyes spent as much time off the shadowy ground as she could.
She soon came upon a colony of dragons. They were living among the natural dams that clogged the river delta. One of those dragons, a mirror named RustedJewel, attempted to make friends with her. But she had become distrustful over time from being lost for so long. The kind behavior of RustedJewel reminded her of the Tengu that caused her predicament, so she hastily declined.
RustedJewel only wanted a friend. Though he had never lost his family, he was lost in his own way, just like the fae dragon he had just met.
As the mirror tirelessly tried to befriend the fae, his kindness gradually seemed less and less irritating to her, and she found herself feeling like she wanted to protect him.
It only took a few years of living with him in the Driftwood Drag before they became a pair. Together, they had a hatchling, and recruited other struggling and abandoned dragons into their new clan.
