Oh also, you can't assign more than one of the same familiar to your dragons so don't buy a bunch of the same kind of familiar!
And don't forget to explore all of the tabs when buying a dragon! You might not get exactly what you want but at least you can find something similar. Hope this helps!
And always make sure to do the daily things, like the higher or lower game and the plundered pile in the trading post section of the shop tab. Again, it may not seem like much but it adds up.
