Trillium was a fairly normal settlement along the border of Nature and Shadow, but something happened in Trillium a few years back. Trillium was a place for misfits, a place where dragons who felt like they didn't belong anywhere else could come together and belong.
It still is, but now Trillium is at the epicenter of a space-time anomaly, causing the settlement to be in eternal evergreen winter. All because some wizard (quite accidentally, mind you) figured out how to explode time itself.
These days, even more misfits find themselves in Trillium. They fall out of their own times and places into the space-time anomaly, being welcomed by the residents with open arms. Some go off and find their own adventures, but many choose to stay.
