NOTE: LORE NEEDS MILD REVAMPING AS OF DEC 14th 2022's UPDATE. I prithee please don't send nasty comments as it's going to take a while to update due to life-related things that take priority. Just know that any mention of the outdated site lore regarding Beastclans mentioned in my lore (as beforehand my lair did heavily reference the conflict between dragons and Beastclans as the Morning Roses were working for Beastclans to be seen as equals to dragonkind but that didn't mean the conflict was nonexistent) anywhere in my lair is going to be revised. Please give me time.
In which some lady gets some dragons and hopes to have a posse of fluffy reptiles who wanna be good people.
In all seriousness and story purposes, these are the Morning Roses, a humble Light clan, though humble in code and not in size as it's steadily grown more and more over the years, and with it, its teachings and philosophies. The Morning Roses are a collection of dragons who aspire to attain moral enlightenment, first and foremost pursuing acts of good in whatever forms, and upon coming of age, a dragon of the clan must select a virtue to pursue and practice. As such, a dragon born into the tribe is not considered an adult until he or she selects a virtue and actively proves him or herself to be serious about it (this law actually cost an heir for the tribe at one point, as Feray, former crown princess, had a falling out with her parents when they said she wasn't considered a true adult due to her refusal for selecting a virtue). For instance, the tribe's founder, Melusine the Dawnlight Queen, is a firm believer in charity, and is also sternly for peace among other clans. Her mate, Maelstrom the Vigilante King, on the other hand, seeks justice above all, actively tracking down beasts and dangerous criminals. Regardless, those of the Morning Roses all share the same goal: to make Sornieth not just a better place, but the best place it could possibly be. While not every dragon can be perfect, each individual having a vice alongside their virtue, perhaps with enough members with their heart in the right place, their efforts can combine to make their dream a reality.
Though a difficult, perhaps even impossible task, the Morning Roses seek to illuminate the world so darkness of every kind vanishes, from poverty to violence.
The Morning Roses, as their name implies, favor roses and use it as their clan's symbol. Due to the Tundra heritage and several members of the Ice flight joining the tribe and telling of their plights in a land that's slowly disappearing, they also try their best to be on the best of terms they can be with the Ice flight as a whole, even considering them a second elemental association. The Roses also boast a high affinity with the Beastclans, housing them as true equals and granting many individuals high status. They also have formed alliances with several Beastclan factions in other parts of the world and try to aid them whenever they are hit with disasters. As such, the Morning Roses have an intensive learning program regarding the culture and languages of Beastclans, aided greatly by Regent Talvi of the Southern Icefield Longnecks, and most if not all dragons in the Morning Roses speak Longneck as a second language.
