Aieryx's Clan

The Empire was started by Veri and Ruoho, two first generation dragons. We received many gifts from friends, and have adopted other dragons into the Empire.

The Empire's Royalty:

The Emperor: The ruler of the Empire. Taken by a male dragon mainy born into the position. There may be dragons selected for the role, however it is rare.
The Empress: The leading female dragon of the Empire. She is either born into the position or ascended to it by being the mate of the heir. She may also be taken as the Emperor's mate while he is reigning. She is usually a healer, however warriors are possible.

Hearth-Mother: The retired Empress. She is the story-teller and wisdom-giver of the Empire. She is usually seen telling stories to hatchlings, and can take an apprentice story-teller if she wishes.
Hearth-Father: The retired Emperor. He is the secondary story-teller and wisdom-giver of the Empire. He usually watches the hatchlings to ensure the do not hurt themselves while playing in the cave he shares with the Hearth-Mother.

The Prophet:
Usually a female dragon, the Prophet listens to no one. He or she reads the future and helps with ailments. He or she is usually a healer, but is also trained in magic-wielding. He or she may be only be born with the ability to be the prophet and must be approved by the Emperor and Empress. The offspring of the Prophet are usually born with the gift, and usually become the apprentice of their Mother or Father. Prophets are said to be immortal, with a lifespan of 900 years and heightened senses. They have a quick healing ability, but can be killed if done quickly.

High-Power Figures:

General: A dragon who fights for his or her Empire. He or she is the leader of a combat party.
Soldier: A dragon selected by the Emperor and Empress to fight.

Lady: A female dragon of high status. Born into the position, or taken as a lord's mate.
Lord: A male dragon of high status. Born into the position.
