Hanahaki is a thing in this clan.

At the edge of the Southern Icefields, a clan patrols the broken expanse of the Ice Floes. Once upon a time, their task was to be on the lookout for escaped prisonners trying to flee from the clutches of the Icewarden. Now, with the Gaolers once more patroling their ancestral home, they can turn their full attention to the encroaching rival Flights; free to focus on the fight for their home and perhaps all of Sornieth. The cost of victory will be worth it in the end, no matter how steep it will be.

They are typical ice denizens: cold, dour and increasingly bitter towards strangers that don't know or care to know about the stakes of their duty.
