Well we started out as just a group of dragons who found themselves working and playing together more and more often. Some had started with the group as ambassadors from other clans. Some were allies called on for the greater good to help mitigate the fallout of cross element and beast clan issues. Their efficacy as a group started to become well known and they were referred to as the Elemental Collective, due to the fact that the group was comprised of every Element. Before they knew it, they were being called on with a frequency that had them together more often then apart, spending virtually no time with their own clans. That was when it happened, right after a particularly good hunt and forage expedition, Mishka and Moira both said they didn't want to head home because as far as they were concerned they were home. The idea struck a match to the entire group.

The first decision to make was... Where. Although there are members in the group from all eleven elements, Nature had the highest number of individuals, so the Viridian Labyrinth it was.The Gladekeeper was petitioned and a Clan identity and lair was granted with special dispensation for continuing to work as a neutral body when called on for cross element negotiations. Next was the really tough part, who should lead? Given that Nature claimed both the location of the lair and the highest number of individuals members, it was decided that the leader had to come from one of the other Elements. In the end, Mishka was Chosen. Many could have made good strong leaders, but Mishka's powerful and magnetic personality, combined with her polyamourous nature, gave her the experience and skill set to handle our diverse group. The last was what to name it. Everyone had a crack at what to call their new clan, finally a consensus was reached. The new name,
Sylvanlady, being a nick name often used by the sentries of other Clans in the Viridian Labyrinth due to Mishka's penchant for visiting the region, with or without an invitation, and always managing to give them the slip inside those verdant woods, despite having a coloring that should have stood out like a beacon.
Amazingly, now that they had their own clan, it was realized that they no longer had the protection of all the clans that each had come from and they consisted of virtually every profession, but non were true warriors, with possible exeption of Dead Pool, Mishka's Primary mate. He fought all challengers for the right to represent his area, and won. He has the scars to prove it. This is a problem, considering what the majority of them did was enter territories that had disputes and other problems in order to mediate solutions. After much deliberation, it was decided to approach the Night Warriors and see if they would allow the clan to adopt some young trainees, offering not only to raise them and see to their training and outfitting costs, but also to have them become the head of an Elite Guard. Our offer was accepted and Faash, our first Night Warrior in training came to the lair. There was agreement that we should try to bring at least five or six Night Warrior trainees in. This we knew would take time, for the Night Warriors are in high demand, and they are few. As Faash is only one, and a trainee, not yet a Warrior in full, word was put out for dragons who would be willing to go through the rigorous training at Faash's side, becoming members of the forming Elite guard. The response was astonishing, but after the rigorous testing and screening of all comers, only twenty made it in and took the oath to our clan. Mishka declared this a success, after all, once we get the additional Night Warriors, we Should have a full unit. In the mean time, it is SOF dragons for all current missions. Thank the Elements that Mishka is great at long term planning, for she had already started work toward expanding the Lair to accommodate what she hoped would one day be a full contingent of Warriors, their trainees, mates and hatchlings, all before the first Night Warrior in training had even arrived.

Today we had all our warriors in a frenzy, a creature had somehow gotten into the nursery. Luckily it didn't have harm in mind, in fact, he laughed, gave gifts and confetti to the hatchlings and the lair as a whole, and went poof.

Although I am not yet ready to put into the annuls all the marvelous things my Lair has been up to with a school for the Multi-gazed and the discovery of the order of the golden wing being right under our noses within the lair, and the retro-virus that showed several of our members had hidden inside their makeup the Genetics of the Gaolers, causing them to spring forth wholly changed into the Ancient breed. We had yet another surprise as we had a most unusual gift giving come during the Thundercrack Carnival. With a sudden appearance, one of the Lightning Deities servants presented a gift of food and apparel to the lair and then was off traveling as a lightning bolt to what we can only assume was another lair to deliver the rest of his packages.
