The Refuge of the Roaming Winds was born from the ruins of the disbanded Bucephalandra Clan. It is currently lead by Promise and Malik.
The Clan of Bucephalandra was founded by a pair of mirror dragons, Balder and Raine. The two expanded their territory with great joy, until one day, disappearing. It was assumed that, like most wind dragons, they had sought a greater adventure.
This left the position of leadership open, which lead the budding clan to a vote. A skydancer by the name of Tetra won the vote by a landslide, which turned out to be the correct choice. Tetra's reign symbolized the clan's Golden Ages, where she proudly expanded their rule throughout the Zephyr Steppes.
But very soon, the population grew too large for Tetra to handle alone, so she sought out help from a new, but prideful member. This marked the start of Eris' leadership.
Eris followed closely under Tetra, becoming fast friends with the wind dragon. The two obtained momentous growth for the small clan, slowly migrating southwards towards the Millmeadows.
But one day, Tetra mysteriously vanished without a trace, very much like Balder and Raine before, but… the whole clan began to sense something a little strange in the trend of their leaders sudden departures. Fear began to fester in everyone's minds, progress began to halt, and violent crime began to rise. Eris, unable to find any clues about Tetra’s abrupt disappearance, found herself struggling to keep her clan together. So she did the only thing she could – outsource help from another clan.
And so Paskal made his grand entrance. He was a well-learned investigator from a Shadow clan bordering the Sea Flight. And yet, he too, was unable to find any clues on the missing leaders. Has it been too long? Or maybe … someone was sabotaging the investigation.
Paskal mentioned this theory in passing at one of the clan’s few eateries. A gossip-loving Pheno overheard the idea, and before Paskal even realized that there was an eavesdropper, the gossip spread across the clan like a deadly plague.
Who could the saboteur be? Was it Netherwind? Or the Duke and Dutchess? Or even … an envious leader?
And so Eris was blindly accused of bringing harm to 'Phalandra’s leaders, "in a selfish attempt to lead a clan, which a Nocturne otherwise could never have had". In a fit of rage, Eris banished Paskal from 'Phalandra, in an ironic twist of baseless accusation. This did nothing for Eris’ case though, and doubt was soon rooted deep into the minds of all of 'Phalandra.
This great controversy shred the clan apart, until the last remaining semblance of 'Phalandra loyalty fizzled out. With 'Phalandra disbanded, Eris returned to her first home in the Ashfall Waste.
Two years later, Eris discovered a group of outcasts, much like herself, in the heart of the Fire Flight's territory. Sympathizing with the clanless dragons, Eris made a decision. She would return to the the Millmeadows and create a refuge for all lost, wandering dragons.
