If you go through my lair you will note the plethora of names.
I decided that the dragons from my lair would all be given a name. So I devised a system where I named each species in a specific language. Granted there is not an exact science to this and I have often deviated from it but I do tend to stick to it.
Guardians are given - Icelandic, Danish, Finnish, Irish, or sometimes German names.
Spirals- Italian and Latin
Fae- Traditional Chinese
Pearl- Korean
Skydancers- Japanese,french or Telugu
Wildclaw- Nepali or german
Ridgebacks- French or Estonian
Imperial- Japanese
Coatl- Swahili
Mirror- Spanish or Portuguese
Nocturne- Welsh

I don't name tundras or snappers because I don't like them and therefore, do not keep them. Anyway I find this method of naming to be effective and also rewarding because you learn about languages over a time. Italian is super fun because it has so many suffixes that can be added to change a word. Japanese is cool because the way you spell it can change the meaning. Irish is a dying language and most people don't know Ireland has an indigenous language. Name your dragons!
