To stand inside of the Star Wood at night is to be embraced by an infinite universe. Along this former shoreline, the trees stretch skyward and grow taller than anywhere else. At night, they blossom and reveal millions of flowers winking in the moonlight like so many stars. It is a place for inspiration and thought. Many dragons discover their genius here, but many more become lost to the dangers hidden in its beauty.

Today, Mauk is determined.

The bubbling whispers and dreams of the Tidelord have brought her uneasiness and lethargy instead of the inspiration and power she had expected. The waters of the Sea of a Thousand Currents are murkier and colder than she last remembered. For all that she is and shall always be a Waterborn dragon... the lapping waves and shadowed undertow no longer feel like home.

But a charismatic Coatl named Gustaph had come to the clan, a wandering magician from the Arcane flight, and he tells such stories of his homeland. Levitating spires of rock, crystals shimmering with raw energy, a forest near the shore that revealed a million-million stars each night. The hearts and minds of the younger clansfolk are stirred to excitement by these painted pictures.

Mauk and Gedemore personally visit the Starfall Isles, testing the truth of these tall tales. To their surprise, Gustaph has not lied--and the two Waterborn realize that this would be a more lively and potential-filled environment in which their clan could grow.

So, they appoint Gustaph their Arcane Ambassador, and they move their clan across the world.
