daidetre's Clan

This is a lair for scholars, dreamers and explorers; those with a thirst for knowledge and desire to discover.

Oropher and his mate, Nostariel, were created by the Arcanist and were raised in The Observatory, under his care and tutelage - before they spread their wings to build a lair of their own. These two act as the rulers of the lair, benevolent and just, patient and fair.

As thanks for the blessing of creation - as well as all they had learnt in their time with the deity - they gave their first born hatchlings as an offering to their Father. These children would too live an enlightened life, under the protection of the Arcanist.

All are welcome and are encouraged to make this place their home. After they have contributed to the growth, success and stability of the lair in one way or another, they too are invited to ascend and join the ranks of the Arcanist - an honour of the highest order.

Dragons may choose a path for any hatchlings they may have. Their children may remain in the lair and contribute to gathering excursions, develop their own studies, find a role that suits them and eventually find a mate when they are ready.

They may choose for their children to be exalted, like the firstborn royal children, in order for them to become mages and soldiers of the Arcanist. A difficult decision, as the bond between parent and child is strong - however, they know that in time, they will ascend themselves and be able to join their children once more.

They may also choose to send their children out to the world, to join other clans and lairs. This is encouraged by the royal couple, as it helps create good relations between lairs and helps the genes of these enlightened creatures to spread far and wide, birthing new scholars, explorers and star-gazers.

A note on exalting: I generally buy in the hopes of breeding, so if I've bought your dragon, I'm planning to keep it around for a while. I expect that most of them, if not all, will be exalted at some point, however.

I will give them a good, caring home in the meantime - and as stated in my lore, it's an honour in this lair to be exalted ;) You get to chill with Spacedad!
