'May light guide your path to Truth and the Honest Word, or else we may all perish.' - Unknown
The words echoed in my head as the darkness cleared from my vision. Light. My comfort. My essence. I know not what my Lightweaver has awaken me for, but I can sense that my life has purpose.
Second Rise - First Light
Perhaps it was the strangeness of my body, but I often found it difficult to walk. Half of me wanted to use all four of my limbs and the other half of me called to stand straight and tall.
Although thumbs were accommodating, I often feared Lightweaver to have miscalculated about my claws. Xrexer has been delightful in helping me understanding Dragon culture and Xena in turn has been patient. Still, I often wonder why Lightweaver has given me such a strange form. Arms and legs were not meant to carry such heavy wings.
Second Rise - Second Light
Tomorrow, my dragon friends tell me they are ready to breed. I often wonder if I am ready to accept more dragons into my care. Will I be able to feed them? Remember all their names? Find space for them? I do not know.
I have met another one of my own kind as I was traversing the Water Lands. She seems more . . .adept at taking care of dragons. Perhaps I shall ask her to care for one when the eggs hatch.
My Goddess has not answered me. Perhaps she wishes for me to complete this challenge on my own, but what could she possibly want me to do? I have been given no instruction beyond 'care for the dragons'. I know I am not the only one in this position and everyday I see creatures who I fear will harm the hatchlings.
I've decided to train three of my stronger dragons to be protectors. I will perhaps train more as time goes on and my family grows ever bigger.
