Cailleach's Clan

Clan na Cailleach is a nod to the old one's presence in the forests and mountains. It is said that the old winter goddess, Cailleach, wanders the earth in search of those who still hold warmth and light in their hearts. She had once been beautiful and full of life, in fact she was once a goddess of prosperity! But people lost their way and violence corrupted their hearts. Her children salted the very Earth they had once loved so dearly. Now, because the old ways are lost, her name is synonymous with 'harbinger of death' like all the other old gods before her. She knows many languages and has seen many lands. One such land, she planted an apple tree sapling and fed it her tears. This is the birthing tree from which Hiccup and Sorrow were born. Perhaps her new offspring will bring back that light that Cailleach so desperately seeks?
