The funny thing is I still have Raine's parents in my clan ( I exalted the mom but shh) so technically they didn't die to protect her ;3
Genes are fairly rare such as the newly introduced genes; Alloy and scales; http://www1.flightrising.com/forums/ann/2078661 http://www1.flightrising.com/forums/ann/2059528 some more expensive genes are Spines and Runes, I have examples for runes and spines
If you want to get some of the rarest dragons those would be: Imperials, Coatls, mainly because their breeding cool down is super high. The rarest at the moment are bogsneaks, they are a recently introduced breed so their super expensive and hard to get.
