| There is a library in the Emperor's wake, amongst the buried ruins of an ancient citadel. Adventurers and scavengers alike find respite-- or ruin-- in these marble spires embedded in the earthquake-hewn cliffs. Keepers sweep the ever-present dust from the racks of scrolls; archivists study mysterious artifacts unearthed by Luminax's rampage. The denizens of this place do not ask the questions of "where are you from?" and "who are you?'. Here, in these ruinous sands, is a place of rest for the weary. But as the stairs climb to the blinding light, unwelcome eyes may find more than what they asked for. Have a meal, browse the archives, admire the desert garden-- just don't put your snout where it doesn't belong. |
