If there is one thing Corus learned from his travels throughout the world, it is that you should not meddle in other's affairs.
Corus was only trying to help, really he was. But when he stepped between two battling magic-users, he was caught in the crossfire and was imbued with a strange magic, a kind of curse. He, and all dragons who would call themselves his kin, would from then on not be the powerful dragons they once were but would instead take the form of strange two-legged beasts with draconic qualities.
Tough luck, but Corus will find a way to cure everyone. He hopes.
