Clan Itazura To be touched by a shade is to be doomed to a shortened life wrought with fear, abandonment, and loneliness. There is no cure for those who are shade-touched and they must suffer in quiet solitude, lest they infect others around them. Such is the curse of those who are born in the Shade’s deadly grasp. But, there is a safe haven for those who struggle with the burden of being born shade-touched or who contract it throughout their life.

It’s called Itazura. This haven was founded by two wayward dragons affected by the shade’s touch. She, Sidereal, is the brains behind the group. She convinced Kasper to found a sanctuary for all dragons with The Touch who cannot find homes elsewhere. All who come to join Itazura suffer with the touch of the shade or soon become touched. This disease is highly infectious and when a big group of shade-touched dragons congregate its potency is exponentially increased.

The touch of a shade is said to affect the mind. It’s rumoured that dragons go crazy eventually, which is why other dragons shun them. Many fear that Itazura is a festering pool of disaster that will one day spill forth and wreak havoc. These dragons avoid Itazura and its dragons more than before, ever isolating the group.
