Venture into the Hidden Lair, where the trappings of society fall away and only rebirth remains.

Hidden deep within the Snowsquall Tundra are luscious canopies, past labyrinths of snatching vines and clinging branches, there lies a place beyond sight. Travelers will find themselves immersed in a world of flowers and foliage, a place where the sun’s light reaches only in thin banners cutting through the treetops, a place where the voices of nature are muffled, and yet resonate. This quiet, solemn world is a place apart. Primeval and isolated. Beautiful, yet echoing with ancient power.

Travelers may happen upon a pair of ancient trees, between which lies a curtain of coiled vines. If they feel inclined, they might approach and find a friendly dragon tending to a warm chamber situated between the trunks of those mighty trees. The walls are lined with stained shelves, all loaded with row after row of beautiful, hand-bound books. “Welcome,” the dragon might say. “Are you here to be reborn?”

Once a dragon passes through that curtain, they find a world free of judgment. The clan welcomes all, regardless of their personal history. Those who flee hardship find safety in the clan’s embrace. Those who flee their own past find a family who will not ask questions. It’s a place for those who have failed in the outside world, but also for those who reject it. It’s a home for those who know no other.

All who enter this glade are reborn. Those who join are asked to investigate the library, seeking a new name among the yellowed pages of the books. They choose a new name from among those of fictional heroes. They aren’t expected to ascribe meaning to their choice, though they are free to do so if they wish. Some make a slow, meticulous decision, laboring over meanings in a quest to find a name which suits them. Others simply choose the one which rings the sweetest on their tongue.

Beyond the library lies a pristine glade, where the clan make their home. Once a dragon passes through the library and enters the hallowed glade, they shed their old life as a serpent sheds it’s skin. They are welcomed by their new brothers and sisters, and the matters of their old life are forgotten. Clan members are asked to respect one another’s secrets and to act as one another’s guardians.

This glade is a place of rebirth. It is shielded from the world by nature itself, and the inhabitants are rechristened in the image of fictional heroes. Here, a lost soul may find a fresh start. It is a place of peace and rest, but also a place of hiding. Everyone here has secrets.

you're welcome! i'm really taken by the peacock scries, which is what caught my attention in the first place, so that is going to happen eventually, once i get the funds to do so cx
