"Wouldn't it be lonely to be a star?" An innocent question, driven by curiosity.
"When you think about it, no," A shift of wings. Eyes turned skyward. "those stars are neighbors. Perhaps they are a short flight away, perhaps a few hours, perhaps a lifetime away... It is no different from life here." A soft response, a voice that hints at something more.
Somberly, they look up at the heavens and wonder why they can't be amongst the stars, why they're on lower grounds, why they can't reach the stars no matter how hard they try.
Some day, they'll touch the stars again.
