THE CLAN OF THE TORN

The constant breeze of the Reedcleft Ascent whispers over a forest of birch trees and bamboo. The leaves rustle loudly, obscuring any other sounds. Above you the blue sky is full of white, fluffy clouds. You hardly notice the bright red imperial circling up high like a hawk.

Eventually the trees thin until there is nothing more then a large clearing. The forest wraps around the clearing until it reaches it's Western end, where a massive hill slopes out of the ground. Trees dot it like the spines of a guardian's back.

Amongst closer inspection, you notice that there are dragons all over the place, going about their daily lives. A group of hatchlings playing on the grass. Armoured dragons drilling out battle techniques. A skydancer racing with his friends up above the hill. A merchant arriving from the market with todays sales. You realize you have come to a clan's home. You should probably leave, but they seem peaceful. Lulled by the happiness of the clan you are witnessing, you decide to stick around.
