Thanks so much for your kind words, your comment really made my day!! I'd never ever judge any indigenous person for not speaking up (we gotta protect our peace too!), but my perspective is just like you said: it would be really easy for indigenous voices to be absent from conversations where our perspectives are valuable. For me, I also think it's important to be visibly and vocally indigenous because I hope it'll make FR's forums feel a little bit friendlier for other indigenous people reading, so we know we're not alone. Mahalo nui ('Ōlelo Hawai'i, "thank you") and kotahitanga (te reo Māori, "solidarity") :)

I'm so glad you didn't exalt him! He's a very cool looking big-little guy and I'm thrilled to have him! It was even funnier realizing he's the biggest male thorntail by WEIGHT currently haha, gave me a really good laugh. Little guy is thick and I love him for it.
