Led by the mated pair of Rust and Aster, this group of mapmakers, guides, and hired protectors create a living for themselves in the Southern Icefields. Something of an all-around-service, this clan makes its living through selling maps (created by the talented Aster and his students), guiding visitors or moving clans through the Southern Icefields to their new home (along with protective muscle in the form of Rust's trainees), and occasionally acting as emergency rescuers for their nearby neighbors. Their iceberg home can also act as a temporary inn for travelers, as long as they're alerted ahead of time!

Their home is anything but safe, however. Several of the members have almost become victim of the cold (notably Slate and Nimble), and several were nearly killed by a dangerous group of beastclan that the Clan continues to clash with. It can be difficult to find food, and while Rinn's garden provides much needed greenery and plants, it is still difficult to find sustenance in the chilled oceans or on the small icefloes and bergs. It's common for hunting parties to go onto the tundra for months at a time, sending back food from the more productive area.

Despite the difficulties, this small Clan continues to grow and gain in wealth and family. While things rarely go smoothly, they continue to persevere and make a living for themselves at the bottom of the world.
