Clan Info

The fringes of the Starwood Strand, where trees and grass morph into flesh and decay, where jutting fragments of bone transmute into crystal shards, the border of the Wandering Contagion. It is here that an altar was built, a massive structure of stone and blood and bone and magic. A monument to the vast and destructive energies birthed from the intersection of the two flights. A portal.

When this structure was built and by whom is unknown. Many think it grew out of the ground itself, a manifestation of the raw and unfiltered energy in this space. No dragon has crossed the threshold of the portal and returned, but many strange creatures have crossed over and entered the world of Sornieth. Here exists a strange arcane energies, one of change, of mutation, of destruction.

Here is where the clan has settled. This clan is home to the Portalwatchers, a home to scientists, to historians, to any number of dragons drawn to this place for whatever reason. There is much here to study, much here to learn, but also much here to fear. Strange creatures wander the ground, and often the pull of the Portal is too great for some dragons to resist. Regardless of why they are here, they know they are here for a reason. Most are still working to find out what that reason is.

The concentrated and warped energy draws dragons of a particular type, those that are older than the first clans on Sornieth, those touched by the gods themselves. These dragons have found a home near the portal and draw upon the energy that flows from, regardless of their elemental allegiance.

The gen1 deity thing sounds like an amazing idea! I'm glad she wound up finding a good home with you, though. I knew she had some nice colors but I couldn't think of anything I really wanted to do with her. I hated to leave her collecting dust like that.

Sometimes I pick names and it helps me figure out lore for them. Sometimes lore for them helps me pick out a name. Sometimes they sit there for months on end until I come up with something for them, and then I'm usually too lazy to write it all out. lol
