Clan Hemak found this refuge after The Wandering, during which time many dragons were gained and lost. The previous patriarch had to step down in order to care for his ailing mate, leaving his pupil Hemakshi in his stead. She deemed the hill a safe place; easy to protect, and high enough in the sky to nearly always be bathed in Light. Atop the hill is a shrine dedicated to the Lightweaver, while the main temple below holds the gardens and throne room.

Around the hill there are other bits of ruin which are being rebuilt, for the clan members to make their homes in. Clan Hemak is not large, and is made up of the Nobles and Citizens. They are known in Light territory for their beautiful music and gardens, which hold golden flowers and koi ponds.
