Theme Week: Pirate Dragons!
NornVerdandi's Clan
Clan Info
Under the leafy protection of the great tree of life, The Yggdrasil's Canopy clan live in as beautiful a place a dragon can call home.Verdant moss adorns the ground and everything around it. Nature abounds in every direction. You can hear the birds chirp and the insects hum; life is everywhere. The dragons here love it, and they often take walks out into the forest, just for the fun of it (and because giant trees make great back scratchers for dragons.) Gentle brooks run along its parameters. The grey and stormy ocean can be seen from tall bluffs to the west of the clan grounds. If you face east, untamed mountains can be seen in the distance.
Verðandi is the Norse goddess of present fate. She lives among this clan of dragons. She is the middle of the three Norns, Norse goddesses of destiny. The Norns are in charge of the World Tree, Yggdrasil. Every day, they take water from the Well of Fate, mix it with clay, and pour it over the tree’s branches to stop it from decaying.
Verðandi, as the middle of the Norns, rules over the present. Her name means “that which is”. Verðandi winds the thread of life after it is spun by her older sister Urð; the youngest sister, Skuld, then cuts the thread at the appointed time, ending the life.
