at first, there was nothing. then he woke, a single conscience in the vast emptiness.
for eons, he existed, knowing nothing but his own thoughts. then out of the emptiness,
a flash of light disturbed the darkness. he probed the void and found
the gentle throbbing of a candle, and as the light slowly enveloped his thoughts, he evolved.
