Angela started the SunDragon Clan and the two progens, Ilona and Cyrus, were assigned to the clan. The clan was small in those days so the three of them managed it well. The Clan lived in peace until the clan moved to the Hewn City.

The Hewn City is always dark and causes hallucinations in some dragons. In addition the clan was growing to a size that Angela needed and the progens needed help governing it. So Angela called some trusted friends to her aid.

Six of them joined her and the progens to form the council of nine. Together they made important decisions and managed the clan.

Also at that time additional dragons were trained to fight and defend the clan. Since the sand that incubated the eggs could no longer be heated by the sun a dragon were assigned to heat the sand over a fire. A recorder was assigned for the council hall. A fire was lit at the center of the camp and a dragon was assigned to speak there and tend the fire. Other jobs were also added to the clan. The quarantine zone was also established to the west of the clan. The quarantine zone is a place where contagious dragons and those too ill to take care themselves can go to recover. This structure for work and living has proven effective since the time it was implemented.

After the upheaval that happened when the Clan moved to the Hewn City peace was restored again. The clan enjoyed good relations with the dunhoof centaur and frequently traded with them for goods such as textiles. The clan’s relationship maren in the area is more on edge in part because of the past hostilities between dragons and the maren. Despite this SunDragon Clan have done their best to be diplomatically friendly to the maren and to offer trading opportunities when circumstances allowed it.

However the history of the SunDragon Clan is not all peace and prosperity. A group of shades threatened the continent and the SunDragon Clan, along with many other clans, sent five of its finest warriors northwest to fight the shades. Because the SunDragon Clan is not the strongest defended of clans the absence of these warriors left them vulnerable. During this time a herd of young centaurs seeking land and vengeance drove the SunDragon Clan out of their home. The members of the clan were split into eight groups and were scattered across the known world from the Carrion Canyon to the Wandering Contagion.

As time passed the Council of Nine established communication between the different groups. When five warriors returned and the reunited SunDragon Clan was able to retake their lair. Thus another time of peace was ushered in.
