You feel eyes watching. Not eyes that stare blindly, but those who coil away at the slightest movement, those whose gaze pierces flesh and shadow – but only when you look away.
The ground here is seething. It feels sickly, as if a pestilence has sunk its claws into the land itself, teetering on the boundary between life and death. Its membranes quiver at your footfalls, pulsating and relishing in the movement.
Do not be fooled, however. This pocket of hell sees your presence as nothing more than a future feast to gorge itself on. Will you proceed further?
