Cyrus is one of the happiest dragons in the clan - he’s a lively, bubbly personality. One of only three ridgebacks in the clan, it’s easy to notice who has “borrowed” things. But he’s not that bad with it - he, Lehava and Tully have been in the clan since they were hatchlings, so their borrowing isn’t exactly out of control. It raises a few disputes occasionally, but they are quickly settled. From his brief stint in another clan, he learned enough about borrowing to know what it was. After one particularly, ahem, difficult, dispute, Inigo ordered the entire clan to learn about borrowing, so as to be able to tolerate it. Now, it is not uncommon for the dragons to all borrow from each other, as a sign of affection.

Cyrus is one of the clan’s three blacksmiths, and an all around fix it guy. If he sees something broken, or needing improving, he will borrow it, take it to the forge, and do as such. Sometimes to good effect, and sometimes to another dragon’s annoyance. He is a wonderful mender of apparel, and has recently become the clan’s tailor (which endears him greatly to Akalia - as much as she would never admit it, the two are great friends.) Cyrus is hopelessly in love with Akalia, and often fixes apparel to please her. His red skin always seems to darken when she is around, and he is often a bumbling, stuttering idiot when she speaks to him.

He gets on with nearly everyone in the clan - except Daith. He has loved Akalia since he was a hatchling, but he knew she was betrothed to Daith. At first, it was just simple jealousy on his part. Until the betrothal was called off. Cyrus decided he was going to woo her - before promptly chickening out. Instead, he began to leave metallic flowers he’d crafted outside her cave of a night time, to let her know she was cared for. He borrows her broken things in the dead of the night, and fixes them before she wakes, and makes her new pieces of apparel from materials Elin supplies.

Daith, however, sees him as a threat. He has this crazy notion that Akalia will one day return to him, and they shall be the most beautiful couple who ever graced the clan. He tries to belittle Cyrus at every chance he gets, with his crushing words. He tells Cyrus that Akalia could never love a blacksmith Ridgeback thief like him. Cyrus could crush him with his forepaw if he so wished, but he fears that Daith’s words are true. So, he instead remains in the background.
Cyrus is crazily clumsy in all but two places: the forge, and the battle field. Cyrus is the clan’s chief warrior. His creativity and size make him a perfect fighter, and his skin is hardened from exposure to heat, and is difficult to cut and bruise.
