@ToonKuriboh Good thinking! Suggest some tail apparel and I will try to tackle it. This is an important part of proof-of-concept for a new breed.

@Berkshire

I was thinking mostly of the tail wraps and how they would work there, but filligree armor might work even less there. Same thing for any of the armor, really.

i'm one-hundred percent in love with these ahh, definitely in my top three favorite suggested breeds
definite support !!

they look like wind dragons for sure, but since there's already two wind dragons...maybe arcane or nature?

@ToonKuriboh should be easy enough to follow the lead of existing breeds and cheat. See how on imps, the hair emerges? Ideally, we would figure out a workaround and redesign apparel to accommodate anatomy, but this is how FR does it. OMG these guys so...so... MAJESTIC!!!
please excuse my fangirling but I love the sleek design of them and how their hair floats in the wind. And I thought the Tundra dragons had a lot of fur to comb through...
They remind me of horses for some reason lol
1,000,000% support!

Also, I was thinking about their possible characteristics.
so here's some suggestions:

Overview-
They are graceful and intelligent creatures. These dragons are quite rare due to their picky mating habits.

Social-
They live in groups of up to 10, controlled by a 'ruler' Rampion they decided was the most attractive. They have a hard time interacting with other species, expect for the Skydancers, whom they are fine with.

Breeding-
As mentioned before, Rampions are very picky with breeding. They optimize beauty and grace over, say, strength. A female dragon must first think of a certain individual male as stunning, graceful, and so on. Then, the male has to prove this to the female. Then, they will be able to breed. The female then lays up to 2 eggs. If the female or male was bred with a dragon who wasn't a Rampion, then the egg will have a 60% of not being a Rampion at all.

Those are just some ideas :3

Super Support! i was thinking about a similar idea the other day! I love the unique idea about having the gene appear in the hair instead of the body because, as was mentioned, it seems like the breeds that have hair leave it plain. This is a unique and original design and I want 1000000000 of them

They look way too thin, since they appear to have hooves, horse bodies will be pretty good, their heads are kind of large, and the wings are too small - they need to be much larger to support so much hair in flight. But I like the idea overall, support.

@Mashabely Very good points! You have a healthy respect for realism.

I don't envision them as having hooves, just hoof-inspired toe position. The wings are small because I wanted the hair to be the big focus. But yes, to believe that they are capable of flight, they would need bigger wings. My thinking is that they can fly about as much as peacocks. They can fly if they really need to, but only for very short distances. Otherwise, they would strut about behind all showy.

I think adding a horse body would be the wrong way to go, as they are very clearly horse-like right now, and going even more horsey would make them less draconian. They are on the edge as it is.

Agreed on the head being too big! It's not very well proportioned. If the artists took inspiration from my species, I'm sure their art will be better proportioned.
