She's most often found napping on the beach, or surfing the waves of Astra, where her shrine is located. She's sociable and friendly, and makes an active effort to have a good and active relationship with her people, even whilst keeping her true identity hidden. However, she realizes that she'll never be as respected and renowned as Mathias was, and although she'd like to, she doesn't try to fill that void, because she knows she won't succeed. As the youngest Guardian, she often gets frustrated when she's left out of the conversation, or talked down to by her siblings. Her closeness to the humans is often a source of frustration to the others. She pretends not to hear when it's whispered that Mathias made a mistake with her, or that she'll perish first when they have to "fight the big fight". It saddens her deeply that even her most sincere attempts at being the Guardian they expect her to be, goes unnoticed. She's not very deeply set in ancient traditions, and finds them tedious if anything, but she tries for the sake of her people and her role. She has an impulsive and reckless streak, which at times lands her in trouble, but she feels that her actions are justified even when they're stupid. All that really matters to her is protecting her people, who she truly loves more than anything. Her tentacles are long enough to envelop most Raider vessels, and although she lacks the strength to crush them, pulling the entire ship underwater works just as well. Her maw consisting of rows and rows of teeth at least ensures a quick end. She shows little mercy for them - protecting her people comes first. This is more of an instinct that she carries from the time before she became a Guardian. Despite her size, she's a master of camouflage. When she lies still on the ocean floor, you won't know that she's there until it's too late. (She uses this ability often to listen in on her siblings, who tend to not discuss important things with her. Some of them have grown wise to this trick, however, but they pretend not to notice her to humor her) [nextcol] In her human form, Calypso is short, with dark skin and long dreadlocks. Her arms and back bare many traditional tattoos. Around her right ankle she wears a bracelet of seashell charms, a gift from Mathias before his passing. She considers it something of a crown, and is very protective of it. When she has to dress for important occasions, she wears a set of armor that's moreso for show than anything else, as she finds armor very constricting and hard to move in. In the event of a battle she'll lose most of the metal, aside from her breastplate, which bares a tribal insignia of an octopus. She only knew him briefly, but as with everyone else, she grew to respect him. After his death, she wasn't exactly welcomed with open arms, but Calypso was sympathetic and tried her utmost to make things easier on them. In the beginning she was dutiful and careful, but as time passed, she flourished into her own personality and came to terms with the fact that she could never fill the hole that Mathias left, she could only be the best Guardian she could possibly be. Calypso herself is young, considering the age of the other Guardians. She'd never given too much thought to the Gods. She figures she'd feel the same way whether they really existed or not. She's still finding her feet, if she had to be honest about it, but in her heart is a deeply caring person who will protect the ones she loves, and she'd do that even at the cost of her own life. Among all of the Guardians, she's probably the most emotionally channeled, and has yet to learn how to fully control them. Her newfound sentience is all too new and exciting. With age however, she's sure to make a wise and kind Guardian. Her powers are based mostly on agility and speed. Even in her human form she's considered a slippery opponent. This makes up for a lack of physical strength. She's much more confident doing battle in her Kraken form, which she controls easily despite its formidable size. I like that! We also both have princes so they're bound to meet at some point. Aiden can be like a mentor to Aeolus, who can in turn teach him to sail!
